Dissertation Research Methods & Types

Commonly there are two types of dissertation methodologies employed.

First is qualitative and the second is quantitative. It generally depends on your chosen topic and your applied research methods.

Qualitative dissertation research methodology is mostly used to deal with scientific and technical fields of study. It consists of theoretical data collection like, speeches, articles, survey reports, genuine theories, etc. whereas quantitative methods deal with gathering of facts and figures, numerical and statistical data.

Another type of dissertation research methods usually used is combined or mix methodology. This kind is a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods.

It is always helpful to scrutinize methodology parts of various other dissertations to gain an excellent plan regarding the exact appearance and structure of your own dissertation methodology part. Besides, contact your consultant and he/she will provide a number of valuable ideas or insight that you have not observed. Finally, weigh up and improve the quality of your complete dissertation methodology part.

Also keep in mind that you have to make use of different sources for collecting data because you need an ample amount of data to include in your dissertation papers. You can also use online channel as well to collect the data.
